The Design Brief was to create an opulent dining room for family celebrations.

The dining room before work started

Hand-marbled gold paper with exotic birds and flowers was imported from China and applied to the panelled and mirrored walls. Antique crystal wall lights were fitted onto the mirrored panels, and an exquisite crystal chandelier was chosen to hang low over the dining table. The colour of the table, with its gessoed decoration in broken black and gold, created the perfect setting for the specially commissioned dinner service.
